How pallet trucks will improve your operation comes down to safety and reduced strain on your team. Manual handling injuries drop sharply once staff switch to a well-matched truck, and stock moves faster between bays.
A well-chosen pallet truck pays for itself through fewer delays and happier staff. Contact us for advice on matching a truck to your site, or browse our full range today.
Standard pallet trucks are designed for smooth and indoor floors like warehouses. Uneven or outdoor surfaces can strain the wheels and hydraulics, reducing lifespan. If you regularly work outdoors or on rough ground, a rough-terrain forklift or heavy-duty stacker is a better fit. Speak to our team for guidance on the right equipment for your surface.
Lithium-ion pallet truck batteries typically run a full shift of moderate use before needing a recharge. Charging time is much faster than older lead-acid batteries, often just a few hours.
Our GreenPower models include a 7 year battery warranty, giving genuine long-term confidence for daily warehouse use. Run times vary with load weight and floor conditions, so heavier operations may need a spare battery on hand.
A pallet truck moves loads horizontally at low level, just off the ground. A pallet stacker lifts pallets vertically, reaching shelving and racking.
If you only shift stock across the floor, a pallet truck is usually enough. For stacking onto shelves, you’ll need a stacker instead. Some warehouses use both together, moving pallets to a bay before stacking them onto racking safely.
Manual pallet trucks generally don’t require a licence to operate. Powered or electric versions usually call for basic operator training, even without a formal licence. Employers are responsible for ensuring staff are competent and safe under UK health and safety law.
We can advise on suitable training providers if needed. Good training reduces accidents and protects your team on site.
Pallet trucks work best with standard, undamaged pallets that have clear, even entry points. Broken boards or uneven pallets can jam the forks or tip the load.
Always inspect pallets before use, and replace damaged ones where possible. This protects both your stock and your equipment long-term. Our team can also recommend the right fork dimensions for unusual pallet sizes.
Low profile pallet trucks are built for pallets stored close to the ground, such as on the bottom shelf. Their slim forks slide underneath with ease, and tight turning circles suit narrow aisles perfectly. They’re a practical, low-cost choice for everyday warehouse tasks.
Prices from £95 + VAT
Medium profile pallet trucks handle pallets stored above ground level, ideal for mid-height shelving. Prices start from £95 + VAT, making them a genuinely affordable option. No licence is required, so most staff can operate them straight away. They’re a reliable middle ground for most warehouse setups.
Prices from £95 + VAT
High profile pallet trucks are designed for pallets stored above shoulder height, common in industrial settings. Prices start from £95 + VAT, and no licence is needed to operate them. They’re straightforward to use across most warehouse environments. A dependable choice for taller storage systems.
